PATRON SAINT FESTIVITIES
The municipality of Silla celebrate every year these festivities to honour Santísimo Cristo de Silla. During this time the visitors get to know the customs and values of Silla through dancing and singing events, such as dança del porrots or canto de la alcachofa.
Dança del porrots is an old warrior dance that is performed by 8 people parading in the streets of the town. At the end of the processions, the carxofa takes place in the shape of a palm tree and a child inside of it singing with a choir and orchestra on the background. In this event several cultural, sport and youth entities collaborate for it to be a great show every year.
