PATRON SAINT FESTIVITIES
The Patron Saint Festivities of Manises take place from the 8 to the 19 of July. During these days there is a great number of activities scheduled, being the ceramics festivity, festa de la ceràmica, the most representative one.

FESTA I CAVALCADA DE LA CERÀMICA (CERAMICS FESTIVITY)
During the so-called Festa de la Ceràmica Manises offers the opportunity to get to know the whole process of ceramics making.
Traditional handcrafters and artisans play a essential role showing the different techniques and styles in the streets of Manises for the neighbours and visitors to enjoy the art of ceramics handcrafts.
Anyone can take part and contribute to the ceramics making attending to workshops or buying ceramic pieces at the different shops in the town. There are also many exhibitions and contests, among other events.
Date: 13 and 14 July.
MOORS AND CHRISTIANS FESTIVITY
The fesitivity of Moors and Christians is a very popular one in the whole Community of Valencia, being celebrated in Manises since 1979.
Currently, it is one of the most significant ones because of the great number of people attending to the parades. The streets are full of light, colourm sound and magic to cheer up everyone.
Among the most important acts of the festivity there are the opening speech ceremony, the Moorish Embassy, the Moorish Entrance, the Christian Embassy and the Christian Entrance events, all of them commemorating the historical Moorish invasion and Christian conquest of the region.
There are 11 troupes for the parade in total, there being two sides, the Moorish one and the Christian one. In the Moorish side the troupes are L’Arbardi, Mitja Lluna, Menecil, Kelvies, Al-Nasir Salh Ad-Din, Al Ben Viure; whereas in the Christian side there are Maseros, Cruzados, Els Boil, Artal de Luna and Bucaneros.
