PETANCA
The practice of this traditional sport requires a 15 meter long by 4 meter wide field.
Elements: metal balls with a diameter between 7.05 and 8 cm and weighing between 650 and 800 grams minimum and maximum respectively and a piece of wood between 25 and 35 mm in diameter.
Time of game: the time required to reach 13 points.
Rules of the game: The point belongs to the ball closest to wood piece. The opponent must continue to play his hands until getting the point back. Each ball on the same team counts as one point if none of the balls of the opposite team is closer to the wood piece; it all gets counted at the end of each run when all the balls have been thrown. The releases can be done differently, according to the player: “apuntar-point " to throw the ball carefully trying to bring it as close as possible to the wood piece, or "tirar- pull ", ie, throw the ball with some force with the purpose of hitting and setting aside an opposition ball.
Players: 1contra 1, 2 vs 2 ( couples ) or 3 on 3 ( triplets ).
