Les Rambles are probably the most famous streets in Barcelona. They are long boulevards in the city centre where people can go for a nice walk in the old Barcelona connecting Plaça Espanya to the port. Les Rambles are usually the most crowded areas of the city with a great number of tourists and artists, local businesses, restaurants, hotels, cafés, etc.
The boulevard is divided into different sections:
-La Rambla de Canaletes: the northern part by Plaça Catalunya, very bustling and crowded.
-La Rambla de los Estudios: located by the University of Barcelona.
-La Rambla de las Flores: the most colorful area, with flower and plant shops and stalls, at the famous Mercat de la Boqueria.
-La Rambla de los Capuchinos: at this area we can find Gran Teatro Liceo or Palau Güell.
-La Rambla de Santa Mónica: at the end of the avenue we can find a great number of bars and restaurants very close to Monumento to Colom.
