Where to buy tickets:
You can buy single journey ticket on the bus. Validate your ticket before getting on the bus or keep the requiered money within hand's reach in order to make the transaction easier for the driver and to get on the bus quickly. Keep your ticket during the trip, as it is the receipt of the Obligatory Travel Insurance and can use it for any complaints. The bus driver can only offer change for a maximum amount of 5€.

Where to buy tickets: Tickets are available at the vending machines located in every tram stop. When boarding the tram you must validate your ticket. Keep your ticket during the journey, considering that is the only proof of the Mandatory Traveller Insurance and it gives you the right to make a complaint.

Train
Station Renfe/AVE de Alicante (Estació Renfe/AVE Alacant)
Connections and types of trains:
High-speed train: Alicante has an AVE line, which connects with Madrid in less than 2 hours and a half, going through Villena, Albacete and Cuenca.
Long distance train: There are Alvia trains, which connects Alicante with Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria; Euromed trains, which joins it with Valencia and Barcelona; and a Talgo train, which connects it with the French city Montpellier.
Local train: There are 3 local lines, connecting with Denia, Murcia and the University of Alicante.
Where to buy tickets: You should buy your ticket in advance, you can buy it on the internet, at the window or at the vending machines. Although, if you haven't done it and your are in a rush, you can buy it from the inspector on the train if and when there is availability.

Days, timetables and prices: There are ferries every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Departures from Alicante at 11:15 and from Tabarca at 16:30. The jorney has an average lenght of 50 minutes and the round- trip ticket costs 18€ .
